any suggestions for web based market data and charts providers (open source or for pay service)? ... delayed data/charts are fine.

Stock market data and charts? Do you need fixed income, commodities or derivatives?

just the major indexes - and treasury rates - 5 - 10 and 30 year ... some charts would be wonderful as well... ala bigcharts.com.

thanks!

For treasury rates, try .tyx .tnx .fvx .irx
those will get you the 30,10,5, and short term rates.

I haven't found anything better than bigcharts. If you want to graph economic stuff, I suggest Economagic.com.

If you own investments, your broker should have more sophisticated tools. If you don't own investments, I have a trick that I can share with you, but I won't do it publicly.

actually i am looking for some tools for a clients website - there are a number of ways to approach this - i was wondering if anyone knew of any off the shelf packages or perhaps open source stuff out there, rather than reinventing the wheel.

thanks!
