How do I find reputable web developers in Poland?

I'm looking to get some web development done in Poland, specifically Warsaw or Lodz. Besides using my personal contacts, and Meta Jobs, how should I go about finding high-quality web devs (individuals or companies) who might fit the bill?

Random thought - ask around English-language schools to see who designs their websites.

How's your Polish¿
I found a forum that answers a lot of Web/Polish language issues. You could try asking there for starters.

There are a lot of Poles in the UK that must have contacts back home. Local Polish newspapers¿ Polish craiglist.

Going back to that first question... many do speak English there.

Why use a polish developer? Web dev is one of the few jobs that can be done to total satisfaction remotely.

Hi, I came across your post on Google and thought I might be able to help. I have contacts in Lodz and Warsaw. I don't want to give my details publically here so if you can contact me through MetaFilter that would be great.

Response by poster: Hi jonw2000 - to exchange details do you want to drop me an email (firstname.lastname at gmail.com)? You can find my firstname and lastname in my profile...

You might want to checkout elance.com, scriptlance.com or rentacoder.com and specify that you need someone near poland

We have posted about our experience using rentacoder to do a blog redesign. We ended up with a developer in Argentina who we've been very happy with, but it's easy to limit the location of your bidders when you enter the job.

Any reason you're restricting it to Poland?
