How can I skin/change the theme of OpenOffice 2.x for Windows?

From what I've read on their site it doesn't appear you can.

Does fooling around in Tools->Options->OpenOffice.org->Appearance and Tools->Customize not satisfy?

Open source, right? Get the code, edit the image files, recompile, enjoy. Probably much more trouble than it is worth.
