Faux Finishing retailers in Boston?

Where can I find a faux finishing retailer in Boston?
My brother-in-law started his own faux finishing and decorative painting business. As he won't accept money for the excellent double glaze finish he applied to our kitchen, I would like to get him some supplies for his new venture.
Are there any retailers in and around Boston that people can recommend? Also, any ideas about what would be a good gift to surprise him with? He showed me his prized badger hair brush. Are there more must have items like that?
I will see him next week, so no time for internet shopping. Local retail suggestions only please.

Best answer: I flirted with becoming a faux finisher in the early 90s. The place I went for supplies was Johnson Paint, and they had nice (read: expensive) supplies.

Quality brushes are always a good investment. They also have some unique stencils that he might not be able to find elsewhere.
