Looking for 2006 stats or reports on weblog tool market share. Ideally include installed systems like MovableType and hosted platforms like TypePad.

Best answer: Will, feel free to email me offline at [e-mail] and I might be able to help you Flocksters with some info. I haven't seen any good third-party info online anywhere, or I'd gladly provide a link.

For what it's worth, I think most of the easily-googlable stuff is pretty radically inaccurate, mostly because of geographic bias, poor sample sets, or poor methodology.
