Finding a children's book about blue jeans

Children's book question, blue jeans running in the woods...

I'm trying to find a children's book about a pair of blue jeans running in the woods, maybe looking for a person to wear them? I have had no luck with Google or Amazon, does this plot ring a bell for anyone? Thanks!!

Agreed, though they are "pale green pants with nobody inside 'em," rather than blue jeans.

That's one of his scariest damn stories. I vividly remember the image of the person-less pants chasing the boy in the night.

I had that in a book of Dr Seuss stories called (IIRC) The Sneeches and Other Stories.

Yeah, those pants were quite disturbing to my young mind.
