PokerFilter: What version of poker is being played in the film Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels? (details inside)

'Lock, Stock' is one of my favourite all-time films: a heist movie centred around a debt our heroes accrue as a result of being cheated out of their money in a Poker game. The form of poker being played isnt familar to me and has niggled me since I first saw it - it kind of resembles Hold'em, but the terminology used doesnt seem to gel. The film was made before the Texas Hold'em boom so some of the terminology might be a little 'archaic'

The card rankings are not orthodox and the betting structure seems a little different. It is hard to describe to anyone who hasnt seen the film - but if anyone recognised it the moment they saw it, I would be eternally grateful.
