70s/80s rock song with "never let me down" as part of the chorus?

Ear worm that I can't figure out. The main part of the chorus sounds like "Waaaaaaaailin'!" or "Raaaaaaay Lynn!" or "Heeeeeeyyyyy Lynn!" That's repeated two or three times and then it's "Never let me down oh no" or something along those lines, repeated a couple times in a more conversational tone.
Genre/style is like the Rolling Stones or the Eagles or something along those lines.
It's not Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up," Depeche Mode's "Never Let Me Down Again," the Beatles' "Don't Let Me Down," or ELO's "Don't Bring Me Down."

Main part of the chorus suggests Layla.

Also a stretch, but PhD's "I wouldn't let you down"?

Response by poster: None of the suggestions so far. It's more 70s/very early 80s, the kind of thing you'd hear on a Classic Rock station in the 90s. More acoustic guitar than synthesizer. (Possibly electric guitar. But guitars.)

Response by poster: The bit of the lyric I'm remembering could also be "You've never let me down before" or "Never let me down no more." The R's are not super heavy so it could be a US Southern drawl/pseudo-drawl or an English accent.

What's the tempo of the song?

It's a little faster than "Peaceful Easy Feeling" by the Eagles, but it's that same vibe. (And male singer, which I should have said, but definitely a group/back-up singers too.)

Real long shot, but more based on 'well-known songs like Peaceful Easy Feeling,' maybe Amie by Pure Prairie League, where instead of "Raaaaaaay Lynn / Never let me down" it's "Amieeeeeee / What you wanna do"?

Response by poster: I had forgotten how much I love "Amie," and that's definitely the right vibe but not the song.

Steelheart - Never Let You Go has the cadence that I hear when i read your question. The lyrics aren't quite right though.

Response by poster: Wait, it's "Wavelength"! I didn't listen to enough of it before dismissing it, because the verses didn't sound like what I was expecting. Thank you!
