Good sources for news about Chile and Argentina?

In preparation for a trip to Argentina and Chile, I'd like to start following the news. What's a good, English-language source for headlines? I'm not going to become an expert but I want to have nodding familiarity with the big names and issues.

The Buenos Aires Herald is the go-to for english language news in Argentina.

Mercopress is based in Montevideo - has a slightly erratic selection of South Atlantic and some other stories (and a lot more ads than last time I looked…) but might be worth a go since you’ve not had many other suggestions.

The BBC has a Latin America page.

I used to read The Santiago Times, though it looks like it hasn't been updated for a while now and has a "coming soon" notice on the front page. Hopefully they will get back to it soon.
