Online doc for male hair loss

[Asking for a friend] Have you used an online doc/telehealth service for male hair loss meds, like Hims or another provider? How's is the service working for you?

[Friend says:] I've been using a regular dermatologist for my meds -- minoxidil and finasteride -- but the office is terrible at communication and refills, which means I am constantly having gaps where I don't have meds. This is exacerbated by the fact that I split my life between two states, and so I think it's time to try a telehealth/online provider. I do have insurance to pay for the doc appointment part.

Having used an online service for a totally different prescription: they do still need to match you with a prescriber who's licensed in the state where the patient lives, and the patient needs to be physically present in that state during telehealth appointments. Even if a service services all 50 states, most providers affiliated with the service will only be licensed in a few
So your friend might need to pick a state.
