Recommend a blender/shaker bottle

Can you a recommend a blender/shaker bottle for protein/other powder drinks? I have this BlenderBottle(TM) and while I appreciate the tight seal, the cap that covers the spout is very difficult to close and open. (So difficult that I avoid making the protein shakes and eat cookies instead.)

I am overwhelmed by choices and would appreciate recs from real MeFites. Would like something dishwasher safe and a lid that is easy to open/close with the spout.

Best answer: We got BlenderBottles and I agree about that cap - we switched to this model with a screw-top and they're just as durable but easy to open and close.

Best answer: I have this one, bought after AskMeing for recommendations. I've used it several times a week since then, always tossing it in the dishwasher, and it's doing fine. I haven't had any problems with the lid -- it's easier to open than the flip-top ones.

Huh, I have what appears to be a very similar blender bottle and I have to hold the cap shut when I shake it! I'd vaguely wondered if that was supposed to be the case. Maybe I was ungentle with it at some point and broke whatever part of it makes it hard to open. Anyway there definitely exists at least one blender bottle that is in fact too easy to open

AFAIK, the only thing special about the "blender bottle" is the little metal mixer ball inside. So put it in your favorite drink bottle (Stanley, etc.) and have fun! Else you can buy those mixer balls in plastic or metal on Amazon
