Short course to improve p/t rates

What short course can I do to get better paid part time or self employed work?
I am currently recovering from an rsi, and am finding it useful to work part-time to have more time for therapies. I have modest outgoings, however I'm finding it difficult to manage on unskilled wages.
I have around £1000 to potentially spend on a course, which I guess would be similar to $1000.
Computer work would be out, or anything too taxing on the wrists/neck etc, but most physical activity is okay.
Open to all suggestions.

Response by poster: As far as exchange rate goes, yeh, but I was thinking of roughly what you get for your money in each country.

I'd second the £1000=$1000 thought.
Would any of the alternative therapies such as aromatherapy be of interest to you? Or how about spending the money on stock and setting up an Ebay store?

You might want to check out this guide to credible online study programs. I've actually been looking into this myself. Although I'd like to do something more formal, I've been doing alot of language study and some of the MIT open coursewares.
