Getting sick while on methylprednisolone

I started a Medrol dose pack (methylprednisolone) yesterday and today am having some light cold symptoms. My friend that I hang out with just texted me that she has Covid and also I've been socializing a lot prior to starting the dose pack and it seems like everyone in town is sick with Covid, the flu, or pertussis. How worried should I be about getting sick while on this drug? I suppose if I do come down with something I'm just strapped in for the ride on the dose pack?
So I guess I'm saying don't be worried? Maybe reach out to your prescribing doctor to reassure you.

Assuming you haven't knocked over a pharmacy recently, I feel there must have been a medical professional who instructed you to take that medication. That's who to ask this question.

Reach out to whoever prescribed the Medrol and ask about suspecting you may have Covid-19. You should do a test for it. While prednisone can lower your body's immune defenses you have to have been taking it for some time for it to have that affect. However, if you do have a positive test you can ask for Paxlovid which will lessen the symptoms and protect you from severe illness. I've not heard there are any problems taking prednisone along with Paxlovid, but again, this is a question for your prescribing doctor.
