Keep the music playing

I have an iPad. It is old, not sure how old. I want to be able to watch/project a slideshow while also listening to music. This is not working. I start the music, all is good, and then when I start the slideshow, it turns off the music. If the answer means buying a new ipad, I can deal with that solution, but only if it is a sure thing. Help?

Best answer: The operating system likely thinks your slideshow has audio and has focused/switched/updated to follow your choice. Try changing the format of the slideshow - like 'printing' it out to a PDF that you can then page through while the music plays in the background. The other option if the slideshow part is more than just paging through is to add the music to the presentation.

Best answer: Also - if the device is running iOS 15 (like an iPad 6 from 2018) or newer you can use the 'background' audio feature in the accessibility menu.
