Best duvet cover under $100?
I got a nice duvet for Christmas and I need a cover to go with it. Ideally under $100, though I'm flexible within reason. Probably cotton or sateen? I have sateen sheets that I love. Not really a fan of linen in bedding.
What else should I be looking for? Welcoming all advice and recommendations.
Thanks all!

Response by poster: Size: I have a queen duvet, though I've read that I should size down for the cover so it doesn't slide around?
Colors/style: I like dark gray or blue, muted colors in general.

California Design Den makes duvet covers. I have a couple sets of their sheets and they are very well made and comfortable for the price.
For a serious splurge and fancy style, I love this elaborate but reversible duvet cover from the Company Store. They have many more affordable options though, still pricey but they often have good sales (including now) and their sateen is very nice.

we have a couple Quince duvet covers that are nice. Looks like they have a couple options right around $100 and I think they have promos fairly often.

TJ Maxx (aka TK Maxx/Homegoods/Marshalls) often has high quality duvet covers at decent prices. I also think that Target's Threshold brand is good value; their cotton sateen (sateen is the type of weaving, cotton is the material it's made of) is decently heavy and not cheap-feeling.
Some fabric terms that might help your search:
Percale: usually cotton, a matte, crisp fabric (what most people think of when they imagine cotton sheets)
Damask: fabric with a single color woven pattern of matte & shiny stripes
Jacquard: fabric with a pattern woven in, often floral/organic or geometric
Jersey: knitted fabric, stretchy and soft
Ticking stripe: usually cotton, traditional bedding fabric with close-set colored stripes on a cream background
Flannel: for bedding most often cotton, the surface of this fabric has been brushed to make it slightly fuzzy
Washed/stonewashed: material that has been pre-washed a bunch at the factory, for a casual, lived-in look
Permanent press: cotton mixed with polyester or microfiber to reduce its tendency to wrinkle
Microfiber: a material made of super-fine plastic threads
Tencel, Lyocel, Modal, Viscose, Bamboo: forms of rayon, a material made of processed cellulose
Egyptian cotton: a type of cotton that has naturally longer fibers, cloth may be less likely to pill or wear out
