How to download all photos and videos from a Facebook group I'm in?

I've tried various tools found via Googling and none of them are working.

Context: A beloved neighborhood cat with his own fan group on Facebook recently died and there's talk of making a memorial statue of him. My husband and I would like to help facilitate this by figuring out how to use the thousands of photos and hundreds of videos of the cat that have been posted to the group to create a 3d model in Blender or other videogame modeling software so that a lifelike lifesize model can be 3d printed for an artist to use to make a silicone mold to cast from.

We just need the photos and videos, not the posts and comments. Looking for a tool that I can run on the group while I'm logged into Facebook that will go through several years of posts and scrape all the photos and videos from those posts.

Please advise, thanks!

I strongly suspect Facebook is currently designed to block the ability to do this for both copyright and child privacy protection reasons.

I have a similar need. From my research, there's no within-FB tool for doing it, but I have seen reports of people creating web scrapers that have successfully done so.

I asked this a few years back and got no solutions.

That was before most of the AI scraping/training mania so I bet it's only gotten harder.
