Recommend me energising songs to do housework to! I find it helps to listen to music while I do housework, but I need some new songs to add to my playlist.

I have no particular songs, but many baroque trumpet instrumentals help me move ahead in tasks. Alison Balsom is a recent favorite.

My recent "ear scratcher" (ADHD focus song?) is Max Richter's remix of Vivaldi's four seasons, particularly the winter track. Then I found this techno track:
LANNÉ & Blaze U - Winter (The Four Seasons)(Techno Mix)
(YouTube)

And then there's a 37 minute version (YouTube music link)

I think these are all in the vein of indie stomp/clap except for the last one:

Mt. Joy's Strangers

Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness - Cecilia and the Satellite

The Mowgli's - San Francisco

Patrick Wolf - The City

Walking on Sunshine - Katrina & the Waves

and of course the mash-up of that for when the chlorine bleach has to come out.

I have found the Peter Tosh album compilation The Toughest to have a lot of songs with the right beat and cadence to vacuum and the scrub to.

Róisín Murphy - Incapable. Bleak as lyrics but what a banger!

I guarantee you'll not sit still to this: Dirty Loops "Work Shit Out". Starts off with a bang and every time you listen you'll notice some of the extra intricacies....

“Atlas” by Battles

Some backstory: I first heard this song in a Doctor Who spinoff called Torchwood, in an episode a character who has recently been killed and resurrected and is now profoundly depressed cleans his kitchen to it. It has been my kitchen cleaning psych-up song ever since!

OK, some things on my housecleaning list. All relatively short (pop song length) which means I clean furiously at one thing for one song's worth and then move to a different task for the next song.
I Wanna Be Like You (Louis Prima)
Big Chief (Professor Longhair)
Weapon of Choice (Fatboy Slim)
Against the Wall (1111, BIIANCO)
Hot Knife (Fiona Apple)
Hallelujah, I love her so (Ray Charles)
Bistro Fada (Stephane Wremblay)

I could go on but now I feel the urge to go grab a broom.

My dad used to put on rousing Scottish bagpipe music. To this day, I blame this for my aversion to any type of housework.

Oh love Hot Knife - that’s a great song.
Lately I’ve been into hick-hop for chore day, like Moonshine Bandits (especially Stomp Like Hell) and Jelly Roll. Also love To the Bar by Alan Cooper - sort of a country shanty. And John Deere Green by Jay Webb.

Justice - Planisphere is 17 minutes of pounding, movement inducing, electronica rock.
Bakermat - Baianá is punchy, happy and catchy.
