At wits end editing Canva audio track for presentation tomorrow morning!

I am trying to shorten an audio track to go over a slideshow style presentation. I cut it fine and when I play it in editing mode all is well. But when I go to "Present" mode, the "cut" portion of the audio continues playing - over the section of track I have edited to start during the same time. I have tried copying to a new version of presentation. I have tried running presentation in alternate browser. Please Halp me!!

I've been struggling with Canva audio track issues, too. So, when you view the "duration" /audio track below the slides, you can see the two tracks and they look correct - visually they start and stop where you expect? And what you want is two different audio tracks to meet on one page - one ending and another starting on the same page?

I notice that in Present mode, my tracks will play over each other, ignoring any trimming, but when I download to mp4, they don't. Canva has at least four ways to add/attach/detach audio and I'm really not clear how they all interact with each other, and beyond that how they interact with presentation mode or even any other video that might be on the screen.

The only cheat or workaround I can suggest, because I'm about to try it myself, is to duplicate the page on which you want the audio tracks to "meet." For example, say you have a slide with a photo of the Starship Enterprise, and you want it to have a music track that fades out and then Jean-Luc Picard says, "Engage." Copy the page. On the first of the two pages, attach the music track, on the second of the two pages (which are exactly the same visually), attached the audio track of Captain Picard saying, "Engage." You'll forward through them in presentation mode to trigger the second audio track, but visually that won't be noticeable.

Response by poster: This did not work. BUT you unlocked the key (at least for tomorrow's presentation - there is likely a better way).

I re-did the audio edits so the start of an audio cut always aligns with the beginning of a new slide. The sound flows seamlessly for some reason even if the cuts seem to end "early" in editing mode - but work great in Presentation mode!

Thank you for saving my presentation!

Thanks for the update. I'm going to cobble together your advice and my own to see if I can get my presentation to act the way I want it to. Canva boundary pushers, unite!
