Looking for an app to help me keep track of and find new swim spots in my area and when I am further from home

Currently, I have a private Google map where I drop pins for my favorite local spots, so that in the summer if I am out and about I can see a map of places to swim and add a stop near whatever errands I'm doing, after work, etc. I store notes for how private, how much beach area, etc.

I'd like to be able to do this on day and road trips, too! The broader area of New England I'm in is semi-rural and has a lot of rivers and lakes so I know there are many more spots I just don't know about yet.

Bonus Q: any other apps or maps you recommend for planning casual travel? I am not good at planning trips yet. That's a level of ADHD management I havent achieved yet and some structure would probably help!

You could definitely use the Wild Open Water App to track your swims. The use uploaded spots in New England so far are sparse unfortunately.

When you're seeking out pools, Places2Swim is a great resource! They've been online for almost 30 years, and encourage swimmers to provide facility reports.
