Another "what book is this," "falling" edition

My sister is looking for a book trilogy she remembers from the 1990s (possibly as late as 2004). Three books, middle grade/YA, with "fall" or "falling" in the titles.
More details:
- It was like fall/falling up and fall/falling down and then a third one that also had fall in the title
- The main character was def a teenage boy, I remember him on the cover
- The cover was like yellow and greenish, guy on the cover kind of leaning. The cover was a classic 90s photoshop
- Three books all with fall in the title, maybe available as an omnibus
- It wasn’t like sci fi or fantasy I think it was normal
I, a former middle school librarian, am totally stumped. Perhaps you will know!
