Help me find a hat like this one!

I'm looking for a summer hat and I'm enchanted by the shape and style of this hat. I'm also sketched out by the inconsistent description (100% wool versus "wool-like fabric" and it doesn't look like wool at all?!??!) so I'm looking for another similar hat to purchase and/or for the name of this kind of hat. It doesn't have to be black or have the texture this one does--what I care about is mostly the shape! Ideally I'm looking for a hat $40 or under.

This is very similar to a Mexican bolero hat (note: prices on that search-results page are in Mexican pesos). I think these originated from Spanish Cordovan hats. That might give you some search terms to start!

I can't vouch for this site specifically, but sites like this with flamenco wear have hats similar to what you shared (the Cordobes hats).

That hat reminds me of Wild as Heck's hats, which are a good bit pricier than you're looking for, but also I think some of them are really cute.

The texture looks like many wide-brim packable straw hats on Amazon that are variously described as boaters or other things - maybe just the band is "wool-like"? It also looks like the other "colors" of this listing are for... totally different hats?

Anyway - in the world of wide brim straw hats on Amazon, I can vouch for this one: Sloggers wide brim straw packable sun hat with lanyard -- it's excellent and has similar proportions to the one you linked, although the crown is more rounded than the one you linked (which has a very square angle at the top of the crown). If you're looking for that square corner, I'm seeing some other listings that are similar with the keyword "boater", although they tend to have slightly narrower brims.

You might want to look at Amish “men’s” hats, they’re unisex, and have the same shape- straw and black wool felt are the primary options.
