Can I limit first degree connections seeing past work experience?

I don’t want to have others (first or second degree connections) see anything but my current job. The reason is simple and not fraudulent. I just want preserve my other roles for posterity but only want to show my current role.

I can see I can do it for my public profile but I want to only show my current job which accurately reflects what I want to do and what I am doing. As a consultant in tech my roles would change and it is confusing to what I did. But I want several versions of my resume depending on the audience. It looks like I can do this publicly but I only want my connections to see what I’m doing now.

Is this possible or should I download a copy and delete my past for now?

Response by poster: Oh duh LinkedIn sorry about that. I took a backup and deleted everything so it isn’t a problem. It appears you’re not able to hide jobs.
