History of EDM

Are there any good podcasts/ radio/ YouTube series about the history of EDM? I’m aware of the book Energy Flash by Simon Reynolds but I’m hoping someone has compiled all the music into an easy to listen form.

Dunno if you mean post-2003 Electronic Dance Music or the long march of "disco begat house begat rave begat techno, trance, jungle and drum'n'bass which begat speed garage which begat dubstep which begat drill ..."*

If the latter, Ishkur's Guide illustrates with audio and a timeline. It was updated to v3 in 2019, and I've not checked in for a while. Previously (2019) and previously (2003).

If you can find it, the BBC broadcast a three-part TV documentary series called Can You Feel It — How Dance Music Conquered the World in 2018.

Although I found it a bit cheeky, the documentary "The Art of the DJ" follows Steve Lawler through his movement from 90's warehouse and underpass parties through to headlining Spain's club scene. It's also free on YouTube which is nice.
