Leaving for Colombia tomorrow. Anybody have any tips for what to see and eat in Bogotá?
We're staying for 3 days in the Chapinero area.

Have a bowl of ajiaco (a wholesome chicken stew).
I always enjoyed dessert at Crepes & Waffles (loads of locations).
I liked the Museo del Oro when I lived in Bogota.
If you drink alcohol, keep in mind your tolerance will be lower and your hangovers worse due to altitude.

Adding to the great suggestions before:
1. Monserrate Mountain: The best views of the city. You can take the "teleférico" (cable car)" or the funicular. Their availability depends on the times of the day. See here: https://monserrate.co/horarios/. Try to go when the skies are clear (a bit tricky here!)
2. Wok (Asian) and Crepes and Waffles (Colombian, French and Fusion) of course. If you can, go to Casa Vieja to get the best of the Colombian cuisine. https://casavieja.com.co/. If you go, you can combine it with a lovely stroll through the old city (centro histórico).
3. Usaquén: During Sundays, there's a nice flea market worth visiting.
4. Parque El Virrey: Great place to unwind and have a nice, slow walk surrounded by trees but very near to coffee shops, stores and hotels in the northern part of the city.
5. If you're into it, great bookstores like Tornamesa and Libreria Lerner.
6. Zona G: Situated in Chapinero, has a lot to offer in terms of restaurants, bars and small designer stores.
7. And last but not least, some coffee shop suggestions: Amor Perfecto (Located in Chapinero, but in other parts of the city as well), Juan Valdez (literally everywhere) and Café Cultor (Quinta Camacho area).
Enjoy your visit!
