Blurring background on all Microsoft Teams calls

I've tried to Google this and look at the Teams FAQs but everything I've found dances around the question.
If possible, I want to permanently blur the background for all Teams calls and meetings. The calls aren't necessarily scheduled and sometimes turn into a video thing. If I can do it without being in a call or meeting that is really ideal, but if I can do it in just one call and get it to stick for all future calls, that would be good too.

I believe if you select a background during a call using the "background filters" button below your video - which you should be able to preview and change without being in a call. I think it will stick once you set it. At the very least you should be able to turn it on before joining any call with video. Apologies if this was already something you did.

nthing that I've also found that the blur background option is persistent across calls in Teams.

You may need to set it up first before you go into a meeting rather than doing it in the meeting. The way to do this is to start a meeting alone with yourself (just go to the Teams calendar and click "start meeting" and just don't invite anyone), then you can set it up. It should stick for all video calls after that.

Yes, once the background is set it stays that way unless you change it. Before you join the next meeting, select the background setting of your choice and it will keep using that until told to use something else.
