Watch Prime videos in the iPad Pro without an app

I have been watching prime videos in my iPad Pro in the browser for a long time. I don't know what happened few weeks ago. Now, it's not letting me watch in the browser.
I have fire stick and I watch movies in the TV but sometimes I like to watch sitting in the deck in my iPad . I don't like to download any app unless it's absolutely necessary. Did anything change in the last few weeks? Any ideas?

Response by poster: blue coreI thought of that issue too. I am able to browse into my amazon account but every time I try to watch a video, it takes me to a screen where it suggests to download the app to watch the movie. I generally go back to see if I am logged out but it wasn't the problem.

Is your iPad OS fully updated? I suppose there's a chance your Safari browser is outdated and Amazon only supports streaming in the newest version.
I know Amazon would prefer to have you watch videos in their app because it can more tightly control the experience, as well as guiding you towards purchases or having popup alerts, but I haven't heard of them completely eliminating watching prime videos in browser windows on the iPad. You could test this by downloading another browser (like Google Chrome or Firefox) and trying to watch in one of those, but that would of course mean installing another app which you wanted to avoid.

Have you tried "request desktop site" from the "aA" in the url bar?

Seconding a different browser. It is useful in situations like this to decide if the problem is with Safari or with the website itself. You can always delete the browser if it doesn't solve the problem.

There are people reporting the same thing on Reddit. I suspect Amazon may just have dropped support for mobile browsers.
