cute bird drawings in 2023

seen any funny bird drawings / cartoons lately? I'm looking for gift ! I want it to be funny and bird centric. the more ridiculous the better. could be wordless.. could be comic-y.. ink, paint, pencil, etc.. sketchy, new yorker cartoony, etc etc - whatever medium. could be a wall calendar, framed print, mug, etc etc.

I'm on a self imposed social media fast, so I deleted instagram from my phone. I'm kinda loathe (sp?) to go on it just for this purpose, even though I have saved and followed some stuff there that would probably help me .. not to mention my "gift ideas" tag .. sigh.. but my question - know any cartoonists, artists, illustrators, etc, that do cute bird drawings that have shops I could support?

I think there's a chance the hive mind might yield something more awesome than what i've already chanced across anyway!

thanks a bunch : )

you know about Rosemary Mosco, right? Bird and Moon comics. Shop here has prints and shirts. You can also get her book, A Pocket Guide To Pigeon Watching, which has basic pigeon facts presented in a fun way.

Crow Time is a lovely little comic about crows. you can get the book here as well as cute plush crows.

Good bird? Great crow? EXCELLENT CORVID This little comic about a conversation between a crow and a dragon has merch here.

I was just about to post Rosemary Mosco! She's VERY good.

Tommy Siegel's extremely accurate bird prints are, genuinely, the funniest thing I've seen all year.

I’ve loved Vicki Sawyer’s stuff ever since I saw one of her Christmas cards.

The Boy started elementary school in suburban Boston in the mid 1980s. His class was requested and required, as part of a history and heraldry project, to draw a picture of a coat of arms. Perhaps because his bestie at the time was 'hispanic', The Boy elected to draw the Escudo Nacional de México which depicts "a golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus devouring a rattlesnake" . . . something something Aztec legend about the foundation of their core city. We discovered penguin being tickled by french loaf in a decluttering this year.

Also Harry Hargreaves (1922-2004) left a cute bird corpus.

The humor in Matt Adrian’s birds is more in the title than the bird itself, but I love them. He sells bird-related stuff and more via Mincing Mockingbird.

If you have a minute to thumb through the Abominable Charles Christopher, the main character is Yeti-adjacent but there are many, many birds throughout.

I recently found the twitter feed of (accomplished, professional) artist Akash Bhatt:

https://twitter.com/AkashBhatt72

He posts multiple lovely sketches a day, many of his mother (knitting or cooking) but also voyeuristic out the window sketches and the local city birds!

I just suggested the art of Greer Stothers in that other Ask about "scrungly" art, so here are two links:

Pigeon print

Baby birds print

Not pictured at their most majestic! But endearing.

I follow Liz Clayton Fuller (ipaintbirbs) on Twitch, and her prints, stickers, and stationery feature a satisfying combo of technically accurate scientific bird illustration with cowboy accessories.

Felicia Chiao (society6, Instagram) is mostly not-birds, but has a series of pigeons saying "fuck" that I find delightful!
