Excellent sushi or Ethiopian food near Lower Queen Anne in Seattle

I’m meeting a friend I haven’t seen in a million years and her family for dinner tonight. They’re staying near the Space Needle. I live in West Seattle and am out of the loop. They’ve narrowed food down to sushi or Ethiopian food. Recommendations near there, please!!

How sufficiently-near are you looking for? If near LQA but not in LQA is alright (and still 'near the Space Needle'), Belltown has some good sushi options. Depending on how fancy you're looking:
Umi Sake House, Ohana Belltown, Sushi Kashiba, Shiro's I can all vouch for as excellent for their respective levels-of-fanciness.

Ethiopian, near as I know, you'll have to go further out for that. It's generally clustered further from downtown, more Central District or Hillman City or Tukwila.

You want Shiki on West Roy. It's amazing, and a short walk from the Space Needle.

We had sushi at Moontree and thought it was pretty great, with some interesting options. Easy to get to as well. I'd call ahead just in case.

For Ethiopian, yeah I don't know any around there - you could go up to Capitol Hill for Queen Sheba, which I love, but it's a 10 minute drive at least.

Response by poster: Thanks, all! We picked Umi, and I referred them to Queen Sheba for Ethiopian goodness that isn’t a journey across the whole city. Bookmarking this for the future!
