What was the live jazzy weekend morning radio show, produced and broadcast in the Bay Area? Haven't heard it in at least ten or even twenty years.

Haven't thought of this in a long time, but now I'm obsessed. It was on public radio, probably KQED because KALW reception's so bad down in the South Bay, where I was living in the late 1990s. It was like a San Franciscan Prairie Home Companion, or even more like Whad'ya Know, since no radio drama but with extended jazzy interludes, by the house band and special guests, performed with a live audience. The host's name may have been Steve, or Seth; it might have been called Left Coast Live? But that name seems to be spoken for; and finally, a weekly mention was made about their live feed to some outdoor audio installation, probably the Wave Organ, which I could never actually hear on the broadcast.

Best answer: Was it West Coast Live?

Response by poster: That's it. Sedge, not Seth (and Aquaphone, not Wave Organ). Whole shows available online, and it lasted until 2018!

In 2001 I got to attend a live recording/broadcast? of West Coast Live. My Audience True Story(TM) was read on the air! I was also outraged to learn that the Aquaphone was not actually the sound of the Bay but was just a practical sound effect made by, like, swishing some water in a bowl or something near the mic.
