Captain Mojo, why is my search mojo unable to find you?

Trying-to-find-an-old-song-filter, possibly-Canadian-filter: I went down the rabbit hole of nostalgia reading old LiveJournal entries tonight, and in late 2001, shmoopy sappy me was apparently in love with the following lyrics:
Sadly, searching for the lyrics yields me nothing; trying to even find evidence this band existed is apparently beyond my search mojo. I am *pretty* sure that a Canadian friend shared the song with me originally (and that Captain Mojo was a Canadian band), but they are no longer around to ask. As far as I can tell, they're not on Spotify, or Bandcamp, or Soundcloud, or YouTube.
Hope me, MeFi, I can *almost* hear a tune for this in my head, but not quite!
