What's the modern Joe's Goals?

I used to use Joe's Goals for habit tracking, but it isn't well maintained and I'd like to replace it with something more current. I liked it because it was super-simple, just the list of boxes I needed to tick and a bit of info about my streak. It was also free -- I'd pay a one-time fee for an Android app, but this is too simple a function to pay a subscription fee for.

Please consider whether there may be a causal relationship here, and that switching to a different free/one-off app could be another dead end that you'll end up having to find another replacement for in a couple of years. This may be OK for your situation, but go into it with your eyes open.
People are more likely to maintain and update software if you pay them. Even if the functionality might not change, just updating apps to work well as the underlying platform updates over time is a non-zero cost for developers.

Check out the Loop Habit Tracker app on Android.
It's simple, and it's free.

Response by poster: I am willing to pay for an app, I am willing to pay for an updated app. But the prices attached to ongoing SaaS subscriptions for simple apps are bullshit and most of the money ends up going to Google or Apple and I am not willing to pay for that.

I've used Structured in the past. It's Apple only for now, but they have a signup on their page for the upcoming Android app. I paid a small amount ($3 I think) for lifetime access - no subscription.
