How to transfer about $600 positive balance from credit card?

Is it possible to transfer about $600 positive balance from Master Card, Bank of America, to our checking account?
Due to a number of errors on an automatic payment website to a local sewer utility, the utility was overpaid to the tune of over $600. We were able to get the money refunded back to our Master Card issued by Bank of America. In recent months we had decided to use this card very infrequently, as we have a credit card from another institution which we much prefer. So we'd like not to use this balance to make purchases with the B of A Master Card.
Is there any way to get that money transferred to our credit union checking account without incurring fees?
Thanks so much for any advice, knowledgeable hive-minders!

If you have a Square account then you can essentially accept a payment from yourself using a credit card. There will be a small fee to do that though. Alternatively, you can use the credit card to buy a prepaid credit card or gift cards to places you frequent.

Seconding what mezzanayne says. If the check doesn't work out, purchase a gift card for a grocery store, gas station, airline, online retailer, etc. that you use often. The money won't be in your account, but then you can use it to purchase everyday things (like groceries) for awhile and the money will accumulate proportionately in your checking account.

Do you have a checking account at b of a? If you do….jus5 call and ask nicely. They may be able to do it even if you can’t do it through their website.

They will likely be glad to write you a check. Call them and tell them you want a check, and they'll send you one, and you can deposit it in your account.
