My mother recently passed away at the age of 103. She left me a voicemail on.my birthday in December singing family happy birthday songs. I would like to record the songs os a keepsake. Advice on how I can do this would be appreciated !

Best answer: This Washington Post article has instructions:
Open the Phone app and tap voice mail.
Find the voice mail you want to save and click it.
Tap the square share icon in the top-right corner.
Send a copy of the recording via email, AirDrop, iCloud Drive upload — whatever you prefer.

My dad did this by emailing the voicemails to me. Now he has a copy of them with me.

Visual voicemail has never been a thing on my iPhone, nor the ability to record anything except voice messages on it.

You could use something like SkypeOut to call your voicemail from a computer and make the recording there.
