Birthday video how to guide?

I’d like to make a video birthday card where friends and family send in video clips. How to best do this?

Because of COVID, I thought I could get friends and family to send videos of birthday wishes and I’d compile it into a short “movie” or video birthday card for my partner.

I’ve seen something like this before, where it seems like people can upload videos to a site and then you can edit. Have people used sites like this before?

Or should I try to use something like iMovie? Would people just email me a video clip and it should be easy to upload? I have basically no tech skills in this area.

Bonus question: are there fun questions I could have people answer, besides just doing a birthday wish?

Thanks!

My daughter's preschool used Tribute last year and it was easy enough to use.

We did a tribute at the beginning of the pandemic and it was easy enough for everyone to make one and it turned out pretty nicely.

My coworkers have used VidHug for several recent similar projects and it's surprisingly easy to use. You set it up, send people the link, they can record directly or upload, you edit later.
