Clever uses for corkboard scraps, go! (I have three 12 x12 and two odd sized ones about 6 x 9ish)

How thick? If they are thin enough to be fairly flexible I might be tempted to wrap some around glass or metal bottles to make an old-timey insulated bottle.

Also cork is pretty good for certain shimming/leveling/wedging/plugging applications, so I'd keep a small one around just to have handy for that.

You can do a lot of diy things. Check this out.

I have personally used to make art. You can draw with dark color markers or ink pens or cut some designs with X-acto knife( only if it is thin).

put them inside a cheap photo frame to make a display board for enamel pins!

this is a craft idea I've been thinking about to help corral my collection of artist pins. lmk if you want to get rid of a spare piece ;)

I cut my coffee-quaffing S.O. at set of cork-tile coasters with facetious slogans "Coffee is for Mugs" etc. Varnished with two coats, they are still good 30+ years later. Would make thoughtful thank-you gifts for office mates? A classier person than me would round off the corners.

A bit of corkboard is a useful thing if you want to try your hand at decorative knots: lay it flat on a tray or table, and use long map-type pins to hold down the loops as you go. I don't seem to be finding the right search terms to be able to lay hands on an example demonstrating what I mean, but if you watch this video showing how to tie a simple decorative knot, I think you'll be able to see how it might have been easier with the application of a few pins.
