Software for filming a virtual film in VR?

I am looking for a VR tool that functions like an in-VR movie studio with virtual cameras, etc. I am not looking for ways to make "VR films" with 360 cameras and the like. I am also not looking for VR view capture like for streamers. Suggestions?
Response by poster: If I could record 2D video in an arbitrary program through a virtual camera of some kind rather than capturing my view, that would be amazing.
What I had in mind was more of a VR sound stage type thing.
The subjects might be any of those things, depending on what's possible/accessible to me.

I'm still not clear on what you're hoping to do. When you say "an arbitrary program", what kind of program would that be? Is that arbitrary program whatever 3D program you want to use and then you want to add this new feature on to it?
Maybe Unreal Engine would do what you're trying to do. it's what they use for The Mandalorian and other shows, and you can set up various cameras, so you could view through a different camera than what is used for rendering.

That would be ideal, though I don't expect that exists.

I know that virtual cameras exist in desktop 3D software and game engines. I'm looking for something similar that is interfaced with inside VR.

I know a company that uses tools worth several million dollars to do this along with many other things, https://metastage.com/
