A very special pencil?

I want to give a teacher who is leaving our school a personalized pencil. She’s been a teacher at our school for 15 years and this is a big transition, so I want this to say you’re a very special person, but also be a little funny. I’m trying to think of way to say you’re in our teacher club forever. Too corny to say “Lifetime Member of the Beechwood Teacher Club”? (Sounds too sincere…I want to make her laugh) Any ideas?

What about adding something that combines your message with the concept of the pencil? Something like … “Take Note: Lifetime Member of the Beechwood Teacher Club.”

Give her a pen instead of a pencil, along with a note that says, "Write it in ink! Permanent Member of the Beechwood Teacher Club".

Is "emeritus" appropriate?

And drawing (lol) on the suggestions above, there are definitely "beech wood" pencils and kits for turning your own pens from beech wood blanks.

How long of a message can one conceivably fit on a pencil? A quick search says ~40-some characters.

Don’t forget that there are places that will sell you dozens and dozens of the same personalized pencil. Having a bunch of them might be fun.

As someone who works in a school… “This pencil was stolen from [teacher’s name].”

(Assuming she is moving on to another school.)
