Travel gift card ideas

Looking for a travel gift card as a present for a recent college graduate.
For my eldest niece's college graduation, we gave her a lifetime membership to UW-Madison's student union (you need to be a student or a member to buy beer, etc) and a gift card for Delta because she loves to travel (not enough for a full ticket but will make it easier to travel).
My next eldest niece (different side of the family) has now graduated from college. She loves to travel even more than the first niece, but I know she would not get as much use out of a Delta gift card as they are more expensive than the flights she generally takes.
She loves to travel internationally, and spends time looking for cheaper airfare. Given that, what kind of travel gift card can we give her that she might be able to more easily use than Delta? She has a trip tentatively planned to Columbia, and a trip tentatively planned to Spain, not sure which one will actually happen. Given that she is a Spanish teacher now, she is unlikely to be able to afford both, but is saving towards it.
Thank you for any ideas!

Best answer: Oh, if you know for sure where she’s traveling you could also do the amount in that currency so she already has cash when she arrives to the country

Best answer: Given that she searches for the cheapest airfare and is focused on international travel, how about a premier membership in Scott's Cheap Flights. They send out e-mails when they find a cheap flight.
Here is the website.

Best answer: If her style of budget travelling includes any backpacking, hostels, and/or camping, a gift card to REI could be super useful.

Best answer: I was just going to recommend a Scott’s Cheap Flights membership-perhaps that and a visa gift card?

Response by poster: Thank you! These are great ideas and I think we are going to do a combination of them. Really appreciate the help and will wait a day or two in case there are other ideas!
