Adding a Youtube Video to a Canva Presentation

Is there a way to show a Youtube video in a Canva presentation if the video does not show up when searching within the Canva Youtube search bar? A couple of the videos simply will not show up at all, even when I paste the video's full title (possibly because they are older videos?). I also do not see a way to use a website link or an embed code.

Any help with this possibly obvious question is very welcomed. I have looked everywhere for a solution, and I'm in a bit of a time crunch. Thanks!

Response by poster: Bonus question: is there a way to get a video to start at a particular time, given the fact that I can't see a way to use the embed code?

Best answer: I’m not familiar with Canva. But I’ve found embedding videos problematic with other software. To work around I would rip the video from YouTube using VLC (free cross platform. ) Basically you point vlc at the YouTube link, then click “get media info” copy the long web address and paste into browser. This then allows you to go direct to the video file, right click and save the video. You can then trim video to section you want and upload as a file to Canva.

Here is a link to VLC tutorial.
