Dog boarding in Seattle

Can anyone recommend places to board an elderly, medically complicated dog in Seattle? I usually board her at the vet's office, but my vet is getting rid of their boarding program and I need to find a new solution.

My dog is blind and has a complicated medication schedule. She also has zero interest in walks, playing, or socializing with other dogs.

Can anyone recommend a boarding option in the Seattle area that can handle her meds and will keep her sequestered from other dogs? Bonus points if they don't require me to switch over to them as my primary vet.

Have you considered hiring a house sitter instead, so your dog can stay home? Medically fragile dogs often do best when they are able to stay in their familiar home and retain their regular routine as much as possible. It works be even better if it's someone the dog knows or has met several times before your trip.

You might also be able to hire one of your vet’s techs or other staff members to watch your dog - this is a pretty common side gig for these folks.

Yeah, what lunasol said. I would call the office and ask if any of their technicians do pet sitting, and I would be shocked if they don't.
