Round Smart Plugs with direct integration to Google Home or Amazon Alexa

Are there round smartplugs (I have outlet space constraints) that directly connect with Google Home (ideally) or with Alexa (must less preferred) without an additional app? I am having difficulty determining how a lot of the options actually integrate.

After several years with cheap smartplugs running through the SmartHome app on my phone I have had enough of the repeated configuration losses that occur with power failures and app updates. When coupled with the privacy concerns of sending my data to the other side of the world I'd like some options that are more US based and don't rely on flaky and dodgy third party apps.

So, to my knowledge, right now all the lighting options and plug options are third party. Google doesn't make any of those and they aren't sold on the Google Store, so I think you will always be in the position of having a 3rd party app + Google Home.

I deal with this with my smart lights (Philips Hue) and it's annoying. I think the only route is to find the ones that are least annoying?

FYI the new Matter standard launching this year is supposed to make all these things interoperable -- Amazon, Apple, Google and others are ALL participating so it's pretty promising. I'd wait until that is launched (presumably with first compliant products announced at launch) before buying new gear. Sure, makers might say that hardware you buy now will be Matter compatible, but I wouldn't trust that until demonstrated.

I just bought these. They work great. Integrate with Google assistant or alexa, or even Siri. And they have ifttt integration.

Are your cheap smarthome-app controlled devices compatible with the Tasmota firmware? (Device compatibility list)

If so, that opens up a number of possibilities for integrating with Google or Alexa. The simplest is to tell the newly flashed tasmota device to emulate a Belkin Wemo, which most other platforms support fairly easily.
