Changing GMail App Image Settings

I'm running the GMail app on a Pixel 6 Pro running Android 12. By default, images are not shown when I open an email. I accidently clicked "show pictures" on a daily newsletter I get. Is there a way to set that back to not showing the images?

Have you explored Settings? Settings -> Account-specific (i.e. includes your email address) -> Images (penultimate item, a long scroll down) has the options. You may need to use a desktop web browser to restore the setting for a specific sender as per this Google Support thread about "how do I undo setting 'always display messages from this sender'?"

Response by poster: Thanks, k3ninho - unfortunately, changes made via the desktop web browser don't seem to impact the GMail app.
