PS5 monitor/tv recs

Wantto pick up a new TV for the new PS5. I understand that hdmi 2.1 is the most important feature to look for and 4K, something that’s easy enough to find in big screens from 43” up but I am looking for 37-40”. Can you point me to any models?
Another important thing, if you want cutting edge graphics on PS5 is to get a TV with a 120mhz refresh rate. Include that in your query. At the end of the day a lot of TVs have the same internal components so I wouldn’t overthink your purchase.

HDMI 2.1 features are unfortunately all optional, so it's something meaningless to look for.
If you want specific gaming 2.1 features you will have to look for those Individually. Thinks like ALLM, automatic low latency mode, variable refresh rate, 4k120, etc.
You probably want to look at review to see what kind of input latency the tv has.
HDR is becoming increasingly important for the new gen consoles as well, and that's a complicated topic too.

If they're in your price range, I can fully recommend the LG OLED sets. They just announced a 42" size at CES (previously the smallest was 48" IIRC), which is a wee bit larger than you want, but it's worth squeezing it in.
We got a 65" on Back Friday 2020 from Costco, then replaced our PS4 with a PS5 just last month, and the combo is incredible. My only regert is not springing for the 77" set.
At that size I am not sure 4K is really necessary, but you're going to get it with any premium set I guess.

Just throwing this out there: I am an Xbox Series X owner with a HDMI 2.1 gaming monitor and there is apparently a known issue with DVD/BR playback via 2.1, wherein the DVD/BR flickers/blacks out very frequently on certain devices. Don't know if this is an Xbox problem or a 2.1 problem but I would strongly recommend checking stuff like "Blu Ray flicker" when you are selecting a nice new telly for your PS5 (if you have the disc version and intend to watch DVDs/BRs from it, of course).
From somebody who got the Veep box set for Christmas and has been partially watching it on his Xbox SX, this flicker issue is absolutely painful (but doesn't occur on the non-2.1 Xbox 1S setup downstairs).
