I need a new milk frother. Which one?

My existing milk frother (Nespresso Aeroccino 3) was great until it stopped working. Should I just buy a new one or is there a better machine out there?

I like that anyone, including my kids, can just pour milk in it, press a button, and will get warm, frothy milk. No worries about over boiling the milk and either having it burn in a pot or explode in a microwave.

I don't like that after the non-stick coating died it became a pain to clean. Also that it died after maybe 2 and a bit years.

I upgraded mine to a breville with a temperature gauge and a removable, dishwasher safe pitcher, and it was a big improvement.

I’m on my second aeroccino 3 (both bought used) and I recently read somewhere that nespresso’s parts/repair service is pretty good. When it’s time to replace this one (soon) I’m going to compare the price of getting the replacement “part” (basically the entire unit) or replacing it with a different brand. (Bodum makes one for $30.)

Huogary makes one my wife really likes. It’s $37 on Amazon.

This one! 'The Breville Milk Cafe' It's made waking up in the morning worthwhile! Pricy but so well-designed, easy to use and makes GREAT foam!

Nthing the Breville. I have a (mumble mumble) dollar espresso machine that steams milk great for cortados and cappuccinos but the Breville gets multiple-times-a-week use for cold foam and cocoa. It’s *so* good for hot cocoa. (Use this recipe.)

(It’s been chugging along at that volume for at least 3 years, maybe 4. No coating on the pitcher to flake off. Liquid never gets anywhere near electronics. I always hand wash but the parts are all super durable.)

I've had the $30 Bodum frother for a few years and am mostly happy with it. It's not as nice as an Aeroccino, it dribbles when I pour the milk out at the end and it has one setting. But it does the job and has been easy to clean.
