Brunch in Seattle on Capitol Hill

My dad and I want to get brunch in Seattle on Capitol Hill around 10 am tomorrow and I haven’t spent much time up there in years. Suggestions? Preferably somewhere that won’t have a giant line. I like traditional breakfast foods but will eat most things.

Coastal Cafe on 15th is quite good for traditional brunch foods, is open at 10 and often has no line, although I think most places will be pretty reasonable, line wise, on a Tuesday morning.

I'm also a fan of Pettirosso on 11th, and you can't go wrong with Oddfellows, the most likely to have a line, but even that I think is unlikely for 10am on a Tuesday.

Welcome to the neighborhood! I think the above options are great (though it's Coastal Kitchen, in case you're looking for it on the map), I was going to suggest a few more (Harry's, Linda's, Volunteer Park Cafe) but they're all closed tomorrow morning. If you're back on a weekend do another Q or memail!

Glo's is crazy on the weekends, but shouldn't be tooooo bad tomorrow:

Lost Lake is decent diner fare:

Oddfellow's is a bit more schmancy:

My absolute brunch favorite is Cafe Presse, but they're closed.

If nothing on Capitol Hill pans out--Geraldine's in Columbia City can be reached via light rail or bus from Capitol Hill and is a very good traditional American brunch spot.

My favorite brunches on the Hill are Skillet and the aforementioned Coastal Cafe. Lost Lake is excellent for diner food and vibe.

Geraldine's is my absolute fave but it can have lines even on a weekday morning so I wouldn't use it as a backup.
