Vessi for walking

Can Vessi shoes keep up with avid walkers? I have orthotics but am curious to know if Vessi shoes are a good choice for somebody who walks 2500km a year (to date). Looking for something stylish and supportive. Not Merrell.

Ideally I would like something that can go from business class to up to 10km of urban walking per day. I am female but have size 11M US (44 EUR) feet. Lucky me!

I know several people with vessi shoes and they like them, but I don't think they hold up for long distances. They don't last much longer than a year. A weak point seems to be the fabric and the attachment to the sole.

I have a pair of Salomon hiking shoes that are extremely durable, comfortable and waterproof. Not sure if they meet your requirements for stylish however, especially since they're not that different from Merrell shoes.

I think Vessis won’t last more than a year of daily use, but they are pretty comfortable to me (and I am picky). I can walk a few hours in them without really noticing, and I walk everywhere. The insole comes out fully, so you can try the orthotics. Where they really shine is how waterproof they are. My spouse and I each have them, and they’re ideal PNW winter sneakers.

FWIW a shoe store employee has flat out told me that shoes (these days) are not designed to last a year for us "avid walkers" (especially if pavement is involved).

However, I think you could probably find high-quality resoleable (men's) leather boots that meet your other specifications.
