Please recommend good, recent(ish(<=10y)) pop/rock/whatever songs built around or heavily dependent on their bass tracks.

Women, LGBTQ+, POC, deep cuts, alt-, post- and all kinds of dissidents very welcome.

Taking this assignment very literally, Dizzee Rascal's Bassline Junkie. Heartily NSFW.

Came here to post "Don't Start Now". The bass line was apparently created in MIDI, but it sounds great on an actual bass (played with some embellishment).

Hush by the Marias is basically a simple sultry baseline with whispery vocals and minimal drums. Four months old, blowing up my local college radio stations.

Elephant Gym is a Taiwanese brother-sister duo that heavily features bass (hence the 'elephant'). Their whole catalog is bass-forward, slightly jazzy math rock. Games is a good place to start.

Just about anything by Khruangbin. "Evan Finds the Third Room" is a prime example.
