Matutinal animals?

Looking to make a list of animals that are primarily matutinal. Not a complicated ask, but google is completely failing me here. :)

A couple (not especially authoritative) sources say bees, and add gerbils, rats, and other rodents, which doesn't exactly match my lived experience with these creatures.

Just tried searching for answers, and several sources said that it's mostly insects that are matutinal (most active in the morning). Plants, too, if you want to throw in non-animals.

If you extend your search to crepuscular animals, you will find many that are active both at dawn and dusk.

I would start by visiting Wikipedia's matutinal page and following all the citations. At least one or two of the links are bound to be fruitful, and some of the other links may have useful links you can follow.

how had i, admittedly more crepuscular, if not downright nocturnal, by disposition, not encountered this word?
i could have used it all these years reviling morning people. matutional. thanks!
