How to find a replacement part for a Canon printer?

I own a Canon imageclass MF4570 dn. Recently, while changing the toner cartridge, a piece broke in half. Can anyone point me in the direction of how I would get a replacement part. I haven't had any luck even finding out what the part number is. The part seems to have something to do with the document feed (I think). Here is a picture: https://imgur.com/a/etGwmXJ In case it matters, I'm in Canada.

Here is a link to Canon USA regarding ordering “service parts” with a phone number. At the very least, they should be able to tell you the part number and refer you to a Canadian distributor.

Canon MF4400/4500 Series Service Manual

As you know where the broken part was located, it shouldn't be too difficult to find the appropriate section of the manual showing how to get at it, the part number and how to mount a new one.

It looks like some sort of feed / redirector of paper through the machine.

You might have luck welding it back together with Plastruct Weld Liquid Cement. Perhaps take a few plastic coffee stirrers and weld them across the break to provide some extra strength.

Ditto "paper guide" / "feed guide"

Bondic plastic weld should be able to fix it.

I had a similar problem last year - a tiny plastic gear broke in my Brother printer. Here's what worked:

- look up repair manual and parts dealers to find precise part number
- message the company on Facebook (the Canadian people couldn't help much, but the US people gave me an 800 number)
- call the number and order the part (59 cents for the part plus shipping)
