2D Fantasia-esque animated film about a black sprite among flowers?

Trying to figure out the name of this haunting VHS tape I saw once. No dialogue that I can remember, only music. It followed an imp or sprite, and there were a lot of flowers. Maybe early 90s, maybe Japanese. Hand-drawn 2D animation, Bambi-esque. Have tried and failed to find it repeatedly.

Not really what you're asking for, but just in case it is: Reminds me of #1 on this page: http://www.vh1.com/news/310/racist-disney-movies/

Response by poster: Fantasia-esque, not Fantasia.

Any chance it was "Pispisa khanum and Mouse bey" (Wiki page) (YouTube video)?

Silly Symphonies came to mind, specifically Flowers and Trees, but that one's from 1932, so maybe too early.

It sounds a little bit like the "Cloud" segment of Robot Carnival.

Could it be one of the segments from Allegro Non Troppo?

The Life of Death? I find this hauntingly beautiful.

Response by poster: None of the above, I'm pretty sure it's not American originally and at least 20 years old. Thank you for trying.
